National Open Access Research Data Archive MIDAS currently is under development by Vilnius University with the partner Vilnius University Hospital Santariškių Klinikos (Santariškės Clinics) and 13 participants (science, studies and medical institutions). The purpose of this project is to establish an infrastructure of national research data archive that enables collection and storage of research and empirical data and ensures free, easy and convenient access to the research data and metadata. The presentation will show the need, purposes, development principles, current status, peculiarities of MIDAS archive. The collaboration possibilities with scientific journals will be discussed, too.

 

Gintautas Dzemyda

Prof. Dr Habil. Gintautas Dzemyda is MIDAS project leader and the director of the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of Vilnius University.

 

Saulius Maskeliūnas

Dr Saulius Maskeliūnas is a researcher and the vice-director at the Vilnius University Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, senior specialist of MIDAS project.
