About University of Applied Sciences

SMK University of Applied Sciences is the largest private higher education institution in Lithuania, operating since 1994. It is located in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Klaipėda. SMK offers a wide range of study programs in the fields of informatics, health sciences, arts, business and public management, law, and social sciences.

With 30 years of experience, SMK has made a significant impact—more than 11,000 graduates, around 300 international students annually, and over 100 partners from 25 countries.

SMK is a unique community of creative and independently minded individuals where ideas mature, new knowledge is created, and long-term relationships are formed. Scientific solutions to societal problems require the inclusion of diverse and wide-ranging perspectives. To foster such dialogue, we invite science policy representatives, researchers, and academics from Lithuania and abroad to join scientific networks and collaborate on joint projects.

The peer-reviewed journal Current Issues of Business and Law publishes a broad spectrum of research articles, reviews, and discussions in the fields of management, law, and related disciplines. It also addresses practical business and legal challenges.

The journal aims to promote interdisciplinary research in business and law, provide a platform for academic discussion with actionable insights, support the growth of the academic community, and strengthen the partnership between science and business.
