About Kaunas University of Applied Sciences

A multi-profile state higher education institution training specialists in technology, informatics, engineering, medicine, humanities, social, art, education, business and public management, law, and agricultural sciences. Kaunas University of Applied Sciences was established on 1 September 2000 after the binary higher education system consisting of two types of higher education provided by colleges and universities was introduced in Lithuania. The institution successfully develops links between studies and applied sciences and art activities. Kaunas University of Applied Sciences publishes study literature, a peer-reviewed scientific journal and the proceedings.

The peer-reviewed scientific journal “Mokslo taikomieji tyrimai Lietuvos kolegijose” was published annually from 2004.  Since 2021, it is published twice a year. The publication of articles is free of charge. The journal is registered in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). This is a multidisciplinary research journal containing original research articles (not published anywhere else before) that belong to the research areas of social, natural, agricultural, medical and health, technology sciences, and humanities.
